Wadai
Wadai — topics and vocabulary around your lessons

About us

Hey, I’m Bill.

I’ve been learning Japanese for a few years now, and I recently passed the JLPT N2. My speaking still needs a lot of work, so I take lessons quite regularly.

One thing I kept running into was surprisingly simple: at the start of each session, we’d spend time just figuring out what to talk about. Sometimes it turned into small talk. Sometimes it worked out. But often, it felt like we were missing a good chance to practice something more meaningful.

So I built something small to help with that.

“Wadai” simply means “topic” in Japanese.

話題わだい

  1. topic

Wadai sits alongside your lesson.

It helps you and your teacher quickly choose a topic and generate a lesson sheet in seconds, giving you something clear to follow. You can then customize the lesson sheet further, either manually or with AI.

That’s it.

If it helps you skip the “what should we talk about today?” part, then it’s doing its job.
